Welcome to our BRAG page!  Goals for dog and handler teams vary.  Some want those titles, others simply

want their dog to stay with them and have fun.  Big and small, we like to celebrate them all.

So enjoy the brags.  These dog and handler teams certainly had fun getting there - wherever their "there"

may happen to be. (10/2009)

Duke, MAD!

Hazzard, better known as Duke, is seen here at his 2nd agility trial - the Showcase of Dogs in Memphis - with his proud owner and handler, Jenna Austin.

November 2009:  After earning his AD in Franklin a year ago, Duke stayed in Starters for additional experience to earn the rest of the five class titles.  However, Huntsville in September 2009 put us back on track.  Duke earned his Advanced Gamblers title.  And one year after earning his AD in Franklin we found ourselves back in Franklin and having the trial of a lifetime!!  Not only did Duke earn his AAD first thing on Friday morning with a perfect Standard run that also earned the Advanced Standard title, but he continued to nail the courses throughout the weekend. Duke earned his Advanced Pairs and Advanced Snooker titles and

June 2010:  After doing a mere 4 or 5 Masters level trials, Duke is now Duke, MAD!  He earned his MAD title on a jumpers run in St. Louis - on Jenna's birthday.  Quite a birthday present!

Now on to the ADCH!

Pugs can fly too!  This is Kathy Tucker's Pug, Julstone Silversmith Pangaea CD RN AX AXJ, known affectionately as "Mr." Smithers.  Smithers was ranked

with the  Pug Dog Club of America as #3 Jumper and #5 Standard Pug in 2006

Jessica Vinson's  younger Border Collie rescue, Smudge did excellent at her

first trial.  At the Fall 2005 trial Smudge demonstrated that all Jessica's hard

work on jumping has paid off.  Smudge can jump!

July 2006 in Hattiesburg MS Smudge earned 4 out of 6 Q's, all with a first

place!  Smudge now has her Starter Jumper and Starter Snooker title and 2

Starter gambler legs.  AND. . . Smudge will run for someone else too.  Versatility

 - thy name is SMUDGE!

Jessica Vinson's All-American, Max

Mad Max success story! Jessica Vinson’s Maximus,

affectionately known as Mad Maxran his first full

agility course May 8-9, 2004, at the USDAA Holly springs

Trial. One run was even a perfect in PI Jumpers - the

first place and "Q” are the proof. Who knew "Mad Max"

would ever complete a course?!  At the June 2006 trial

Max earned his Starters Jumpers  title and even did the

dogwalk, to Max a thing to be feared!  Max also does

therapy work (he completed his Delta Society Certified

Therapy Dog title in 2004) at Lakeside and competes in flyball.

of guy as well as doing obedience and playing ball to occupy his time.

Jenni Rich & ADCH Sadie                                     This photo by Phyllis Ensley, Pet Action Photos                    Bandit

On the right is  Sadie's brother Bandit.  Bandit has come a long way since his first class when he couldn't be anywhere

close to the other dogs.  Jenni had to work on the other side of the field just to keep his mind from going bonkers

at the sight of other dogs and barking at everyone!  Now he can work in the arena with other dogs working and even off

leash a little.  He also was terrified of the wobble board when he started class.  Now he drags Jenni over to it  and looks

at her for his treat.  With progress like that, can it be long before we see Bandit at a trial?

June 2008:  Sadie has earned her APD (Performance ADCH) title in Glen  Carbon IL at the Zonebusters USDAA trial.

She also earned her P3 Snooker Master and P3 Jumper Master titles.  In addition, Sadie has earned the Performance

version of the Snooker Champion (AKD) , Jumper Champion (AJD) and Standard Champion (ASD) titles!  October 2008:

Sadie earned her ADCH title with a much needed pairs leg.  Congratulations!

Kristi Mulrooney and Sugar, FMCH, AAD, OAC, OJC,

OAJ, NA (often described as a Border Collie in

Papillon size) continue to compete in flyball, despite the fact that Sugar is 12+ years old.  This incredible little ball of fire earned her ONYX Flyball title at a tournament in Huntsville, AL the weekend of August 2-3, 2008!  Nothing comes easy with Sugar but attitude so this title was cause for a par - tee!

This is SO Sugar!     Sugar, FMCH ONYX and U-Fli TF-I

Kristi Mulrooney's Border Collie,  Zig Zaggin' Zadie,

FMX, TFP, AD, AR, AS, NA, NAJ earned the Advanced

Relay title in October 2004 and the Advanced Snooker

title in October 2005.

Now Zadie concentrates on flyball, and not wanting to be

left behind, completed her ONYX Flyball title in Athens, GA

in July of 2008.

Zadie at work

This is Diane's Weisbrodt's Sheltie, Quest.  At the Greater

Shelby Kennel Club trial in Memphis in April 2007 Quest moved up to Open Jumpers with Weaves and Open Standard by completing her Novice  titles.

This is Diane's little Border Collie rescue,

ADCH Jazz.   Jazz earned the USDAA MAD title

November 17, 2007 at the Holly Springs trial with a

beautiful standard run.  October 26, 2008 Jazz earned

her ADCH title at the Franklin USDAA trial.  She had

3 chances over the weekend to get 2 jumpers legs, and she

did it in awesome style - the ADCH run was a breathtaking,

no holds barred go for it run!  Diane at one time wondered

if she could even show Jazz.  Jazz wouldn't come when

called and didn't want to be around any people at all,

among other issues.  Diane has done a wonderful job with

this little rescue. Congratulations!

Candace Spearman and Erica the wonder dog.

2007Ms. Erica had been off agility for quite some

time due to the need for surgery to repair a torn ACL.

Candace didn't know if - or when - Erica would show

again.  But Erica returned in February 2007!  At the

WTWDC trial in Holly Springs, MS Erica earned her

first Masters' leg in P3 Jumpers!

Feb. 2009:  Erica is quite happy doing P3 classes -

so much that she earned a P3 Snooker leg (with a

Super Q) and a P3 Gambler leg at the February

4 P.A.W.S trial.

Maura Shelton and her Border Collie pack:  Ti, Cedar, Dane and Jill

The Shelton Pack continues to progress in all that they do.  In addition to agility, some pack members do herding and AKC Rally obedience.

Ti is the "old man" at 8  with one eye and a rebuilt knee.  In 2009 Ti has finished his AKC Open FAST-Preferred title and has 3 legs toward

his Ex.B Standard-Preferred. This year he also earned his AHBA-I (sheep) title in herding and his Ralley Excellent title with two perfect 100s

out of three qualifying legs.   Maura says, "He is a wonderful, steady companion,  I don't know if he will ever be ready to retire."

Shy, tentative seven year old Cedar has come out of her shell to finish her AKC ExA Standard title in just ten runs from Novice thru Excellent A.

She is now working on her ExB Standard title earning double Qs and MACH points along the way since she already has her ExB JWW title. In

USDAA Cedar finished her Masters Jumper title and finally her Agility Dog title. Maura says:  Never in my (or probably her) dreams would I have

ever thought this possible with Cedar- who hated agility until she was 4 years old.

Sweet little Jill focused all her attention on the weaves long enough to finish her AKC ExA JWW and Novice FAST titles this year. She is working

hard on that ExA Standard title, but you have to weave. She also completed her USDAA Agility Dog title on home mud at Showcase '09.

Baby Dane, 17 months old, also has a brag.  Aside from being a most promising puppy and a joy to train, Dane entered her first  trial at

Showcase '09. She waltzed into the Rally Novice ring and left with a score of 90 and a 4th place ribbon-and heeling under control is not

her strong event.  "I can't wait until we are further along at herding and our agility," Maura says about Dane.

A final quote from Maura: "For all of my canine companions, the future's so bright, we have to wear shades."

Older dogs can learn new tricks!  Lisa Deming’s Mason didn't even

start training in agility until he was 7 years old. He earned his first

agility leg on his 8th birthday in May 2004.   Mason (CH Myriad Moonstruck NA OAJ)

not only competes regularly, but has also earned the NA and OAJ AKC agility titles.

In addition, Mason has an active social life:  he sired 7 gorgeous black miniature puppies, all

of which are in conformation and/or performance homes.  Of course,

Lisa knows a good thing when she see it, and she kept 2 of Mason's pups: Rev and Danica.

SPRING 2006:  Mason returned to competition at the Nashville

DTC's trial in January 2006.Despite the slightly rusty teamwork,

Lisa and Mason pulled it together on the last day for a 2nd place in

Open Standard, 11 seconds under time.

The Doberman is Darlene Jordan's Wildes Indigo Diamond "Indy" AXJ, OA, CGC

Indy is demonstrating how to do weave poles HAPPILY and correctly!  Since weave poles at trials were a problem for a bit, this photo is wonderful proof of

Indy's and Darlene's progress!  And Indy is now Indy, AG, SJ, AS - starters gamblers, snooker and Jumpers titles in USDAA.

The German Shepherd is Darlene's Jazz , who has started not only started competing but has already in 2009 earned her USDAA P1 snooker and jumpers titles.

Darlene thinks ". . .she might some day be a "real" agility dog!"

Lee Meredith and his Springer Spaniel, Bailey, compete in AKC agility.  Bailey has completed his Excellent Standard title (AX) and his Novice FAST title.  In 2009, Lee and Bailey continue to work on speed, and Bailey has started to earn placements.  In addition, in early

October 2009 Bailey earned his AKC MX title.  They are also accumulationg those elusive double "Q's" towards the MACH title.

Meet Rocky, a pit mix and best friend of Mario Chiozzo.  Rocky competes primarily in NADAC, but also does USDAA and earned his P1 Gamblers title in July

of 2008.  He is making good progress toward his performance Agility Dog title.  Mario reports on Rocky's progress in December 2008:  at the NADAC trial in

Franklin Rocky Q'd and placed 4 times! (A first for him!)  He also earned his title in Regular Agility - his first nadac title. He Q'd and took 2nd in reg. agility

with a time of 27.35 sec and missed 1st my tenths of a second.  He also Q'd  and took 4th pl in another regular agility run with a time of 37.17 sec; he Q'd and

took 2nd in jumpers (time: 22.09) and again missed first place my .6 second; and finally Rocky also Q'd and took 4th in touch and go.

Feb. 2009:  Rocky earned his USDAA P1 Jumpers title!

March 2009: Rocky took a 3rd and qualified in Weavers at a NADAC trial - the first time he has everplaced or Q'd in Weavers!

April 2009: At a NADAC trial, Rocky Q'd  and placed 3rd in Weavers and Q'd  and placed 3rd in Touch and Go.  He also had a Q in Regular Agility and a

Q in Tunnelers. . .and he had a lot of really good runs even though they were not Q's! Also, in USDAA Rocky now has earned his PJ1 (Performance Starters

Jumper) title, his PG1 (Performance Starters Gamblers) title and his PK1(Performance Starters Snooker) titles.  And Mario reports that "the folks that have not

seen him run lately are surprised at how well he is running now!"

Grand Frances Delphia "Frannie" (left and center) is a 3 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, whose first love is Agility. Mud

rolling is a close second.  Frannie is the first dog of Cathi Roberts and holds titles in several different agility associations.

Frannie also maintains a full-time job working with 17-19 year old high-school drop-outs.  They have given her the street

name "ankle-high." Frannie's many and various titles (alphabetically) AKC: CGC, OA, OAJ; NADAC: O-NAC, O-NJC, TG-N,

WV-N; USDAA: PJ1, PG1, PR1, PK2;TDAA: TBAD, TG1

On the right is Grand Agnes Marie "Aggie", a one year old Westie mix. She is a medical miracle surviving a severe heart condition,

rare bone disease, broken tail, ulcerated stomach and a few allergies.  Her favorite things to do are play with

her sister, Frannie, and play agility.  She has been featured in the "Commercial Appeal" at her first fun-run at Shelby

Farms.  She hopes, one day, to be a therapy dog for the elderly.  Agnes is  CGC and is also a TDAA Games Ribbon holder.

May 2009:  Grand Agnes Marie has earned her first agility title!  Agnes now has a Games I title and is a G2 competitor in the

Teacup Dogs Agility Association (TDAA).

Anne Morrison and her Sheltie Jet are frequent competitors and can be found at many AKC trials.  These photos are

from a trial in Marietta GA in December 2006.

Zag sits proudly with "Mom", Victoria Wheeler after completing her AD (Agility Dog) title at the Showcase of Dogs in Memphis in October 2009.  (Also pictured,

Judge Tami McClung).  Zag is a very fast dog. . .who thought it was much easier to knock bars than go over them.  And collection was not a skill in Zag's repertoire.

Much to Victoria's (and Zag's) credit, they have spent much time teaching Zag that bars staying up is a good thing, and collection helps too.  That makes the

AD title quite an accomplishment!

At left is Helen Burrows with Jack.  At his very first trial, in his only run, Jack qualified in Jumpers!  This was at the Showcase of Dogs in Memphis in October, 2009.

At right is Helen training her other dog, Ranger.  Ranger hopes to also be an agility dog someday.

Both dogs are rescues.
